I am Cathy’s nephew. Fortunately, I was able to spend a little time around Cathy when she and Joyce came to visit my mother, Helen, several years ago. Through my mother’s words, my impression had been that Cathy was a smart, independent thinking, and life-loving person. Meeting her I knew mother was right (again), but I also learned that she had a dry and humble sense of humor. I will never forget when we were taking the “always-fun, end-of-the-visit-pictures,” Cathy said with a beautiful, sly smile something like, “I hate having my picture taken, it always looks like me!” Since then, every time I have my picture taken I think about what she said, with a smile.
