Entry level management job at Amazon 2006, helping add a new product category (media?).

I read the first third and the last chapter. Impression - two decades ago, Amazon was disorganized and addressed problems by overworking employees rather than clever workflow redesign. More and more examples of the same set of flaws was Too Much Reading, given 300+ books in the input pile.

If management chooses overwork, that's a problem addressable by "firing management" and working elsewhere, which Coulter did.

If Amazon is still too busy to manage quality improvements, customers will get crap and go elsewhere.
