To Helen's children and grandchildren:

I first met and have known your Mother/Grandmother for a relatively
short time - only 9 years - when I joined the local AAUW branch.

We were interested in similar things - books, bridge, ideas.  And
whenever she was strong enough to make one of these events - she
would be there  - in one of those cheery hats - and always gently
SMILING AND ALERT to whatever new ideas were available.
