Steven Pinker 2021 | West Slope 153.42 Pinker

Perhaps I am irrational - I've read and enjoyed many Pinker books, and much of this book is informative, but the information doesn't cohere thematically for me. Much is obvious, I've encountered most of it elsewhere. I did not find many ideas new to me, or better ways to reason with others. Many of Pinker's previous books helped me do that.

So - maybe this book is Pinker checking topics off his todo list, before he himself is checked off by disability or death. Or maybe this is me not keeping up with his one-year-younger mind. Anyway, back to the library it goes, as I work down through my stack of overdue-soon books.
