Wiki Spam is where someone dumps a load of urls for the usual spam sites (viagra, pornography, gambling, etc.) into an otherwise legitimate wiki page. This is sometimes done by bots. The spammer's intent is to raise Google page rankings, which are computed based on the number of incoming links from other sites.
Note, I will not do this to any legitimate contributor to these pages; I have a very broad definition of legitimate, including negative information about me. Just don't push, please; while there are some gray cases that will be painful to decide, immature people that are here to test the patience of others are not making a valid contribution. The legitimate users of this site don't need to wade through garbage.
