Why you should not hide your MacBook Air in the kitchen oven.
The batteries leaked and incinerated, warping the case and filling it with (probably-toxic) black crud.
The 128GB Solid State Drive is covered with crud but seemingly intact, with non-corroded contacts. MacOS encrypts SSD storage, and the password is unavailable, so the SSD is unrecoverable even if possibly functional.
Much of the plastic turned to air - appropriate. Besides carbonizing the rest, the device got hot enough to desolder the square two-contact black capacitor (from the two shiny contacts in the lower right and weld it to the top metal of the case. The fan can still be turned by hand. I also removed the wifi card so I could remove the case top.
The 10 case screws are P5 5 point star Torx socket, approximately 1.5 mm diameter. Fortunately, that bit size is included in my Husky Precision Driver Kit, available from Home Depot for $15.
