Cathy was really special to me. I could always talk with her about what I was thinking.
Cathy had a lot of visitors the day before she passed away. Joyce and Edna came. Paula was here and helped Cathy eat some ice cream. Lori and Keith stayed until 8 pm.
At dinnertime, Cathy had asked me what was for dinner. I told her chicken. She insisted, "No chicken." So I prepared other food for her.
Around 2 am, I went to the room to help her turn in bed. I tucked the covers around her and she said, "That feels so nice. Thank you." Then she was gone. I waited a long time to see if I was mistaken. But, those were her last words. "That feels so nice. Thank you."
