T60 pictures
1951-P24 Motherboard
- The T60P looks similar, except another miniPCI board socket is on the left for a WAN board, on top of the vertical double row of pads labelled J22
- Backlight inverter fuse F7 is just right of the long white connector blue 1206 3 Amp
Whole unit without screen or palm rest. The whole copper heat-sink extends from the middle to the upper left. The CPU is under the round circle in the center of the heat-sink. It is attached to the heat sink with Artic Silver 5 heat-sink grease. If you ever remove the heat sink, you will probably need to replace the grease ($7 for the tiny 7 gram syringe to the left).
The orange area on the left with the taped wires inside it is a second miniPCI card, the same size as the wireless card in the upper middle. This normally has a G3 CDMA card for Verizon wireless internet - that is, internet over the cell phone system.
2.5GB RAM
Heatsink clip for graphic "card" and southbridge chip
Modem card and wireless card, the two antenna cables run to antennas behind the screen
The keyboard and touchpad, upside down. Note, I disabled the Touchpad in the BIOS, you can enable it by rebooting and holding F1 while the big Thinkpad boot splash page appears
The keyboard, and the palm rest with the touchpad. I normally only use the trackpoint. I can turn the touchpad back on in the BIOS for Gloria.
BIOS screen, after F1 during startup
Ubuntu/Gnome startup page, with 3 accounts.
The product type and serial number. This is a 2623-D8U.
Output of dmesg() and free().
